Remembering Lance Corporal Wesley Joel Canning.

Soon after my son, Lance Cpl. Wesley Joel Canning was killed in Iraq 11-10-04 my sister found your site and we ordered bracelets for family and friends. I've personally worn mine every day since. I was presented a set of dog tags at a memorial service in Camp Lejuene, N. C. and I wear those every day also. I use the HeroBracelet and the dog tags to tell my son good night every night when I take them off and good morning every day when I put them on. Even after all this time I still get reques...

Remembering Lance Corporal Michael S. Torres.

I wear my Hero Bracelet in memory and honor of Lance Corporal Michael S. Torres of El Paso Texas. He served with the USMC in the 3rd Bn, 7th Regiment,1st Marine Division. He served under me as one of my Military Police soldiers, and was a natural leader and dedicated soldier. On duty or off, there was nothing he would not do for his fello...

Then what it's been like to see him deploy into harm's way. Take a few moments and read her posts. She has a unique gift of sharing her experiences. Memories of a POW bracelet.

I wore a Vietnam bracelet for many years. It was one of the first in issue. It had black in the lettering after they engraved it. It lasted all of the years I wore it. The soldier that I wore it for did come back. I watched him come off the plane. He was from Orange Co, FL. I sent it to him, with a letter letting him know he was with me everyday. He called me and we cried over the phone and he told me that that bracelet now means so very much to him. I never heard from him again. But that one...

Son volunteered for a second tour and a Purple Heart for Grandfather.

I would like to share a little about my heroes. I got the bracelets from your website which I had found on a google search. Since my son had been wounded by a car bomb in Iraq in 2004 I was glad I was wearing one while he was here and it wasn't a KIA bracelet. I also ordered some with my Grandfathers' name on them, Roy A Yonts. He was wounded at Zig Zag Pass in the Philippines during WW II near the end of the war and he was awarded a Purple Heart but never received it. Apparently the papers w...

Losing a friend.

My son, David, an Air Force weapons instructor, turned 30 yrs old in Iraq in 2005.  He was the non com in charge of the armory at Balad Air Base.  They went out on a joint mission with some Army guys.  Their convoy was struck by a IED.  Several were wounded and one young man died, Dyson Carriega, 23 or 24 yrs old from Hawaii.  David tended to the wounded and got them all back to base.  My son still has his picture on his desk and I wear a bracelet with his name.  I am grateful to have my son ...

Giving HeroBracelets to families in Ohio.

I have purchased several HeroBracelets for various families living in NE Ohio that I have presented to the family of our Fallen Heroes. Their response has been overwhelming gratitude and appreciation. Its important that we all understand that the sacrifices of the extended family and loved ones of our Fallen Heroes are never ending. The bracelet for me is a constant reminder of the brave men and women of America that represent our freedom fighters and peacekeepers around the world 24 hours a ...
