Spc. Jared C. Plunk, 27, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, died June 25, 2010, at Konar, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit using rocket propelled grenades and small arms fire. Spc. Plunk was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
