My Hero. My Brother. LNCP Thomas Oliver Keeling

I am the twin sister of LNCP Thomas Oliver Keeling who was killed in Iraq on June 9th, 2005.  My mother Sharon Berry had received an email stating that families of the fallen could receive a coupon for HeroBracelets.org.  I am writing in response to this - I realize these coupons are limited.

A little bit about my Brother:

Tom was born September 10th, 1981... 7 weeks premature.  He spent his first 3 months in a neonatal unit fighting for his life.  Tom graduated from Kent State University with a Criminal Justice degree in December 2004 to pursue a career in law enforcement.  In January 2005, Tom's reserve unit Weapons Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment located in Akron Ohio was called to duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  He was assigned to a Mobile Assault Patrol unit whose task included seeking out and engaging insurgents in the Al Anbar Province.  On June 9th, Tom was killed by an IED during a rescue operation in Haqlanlyah along with 4 of his commrades.  In letters home he described the conditions in Iraq and said that he truly believed in the job they were doing.  We will never forget his honor, courage and commitment - he is a true American Hero to us all.  Semper Fi
