Gold Star Appreciation Day

September 13, 2008 in Lansing

We would like to invite everyone to a very special event to honor our fallen heroes and their families. On Saturday, September 13, 2008 the Michigan Gold Star families will meet and share their hero’s stories at the 3rd annual Gold Star Appreciation Day in Lansing, Michigan.

This event will be held from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at “The Summit” of Lansing, which is located at 9410 Davis Highway, Lansing. (Near I-96 and Creyts Rd) We have a wide range of guest speakers, military displays and tributes for our Hero’s. This is an opportunity for you to thank the families for their sacrifice and to show them your support. Please invite all of your family and friends to attend the event to honor our fallen heroes. There is no limited seating for this event and encourage you to invite everyone you know to attend. This event is open to the public

We will be holding a raffle drawing and giving away a brand new 2008 Chevy Cobalt which was provided by Shaheen Chevrolet of Lansing. A limited amount of Tickets are on sale now for $20; please let us know if you would like to purchase tickets.

Finally, special thanks go out to our wonderful sponsors this year. They do this to show their support for our fallen soldiers and their Gold Star families.
